Thailand company raid

During 2019 Wilcom has steadily increased it’s investment in anti-piracy programs, particularly in the South East Asian Region.

Recently a company in Thailand was raided and 35 unlicensed Wilcom software systems were seized as evidence by police assisting with the raid. This company was a major supplier of outsourced embroidery digitizing services to countries, including the USA.

This is an example of how software piracy distorts an already competitive embroidery industry through low cost production, based on illegally acquired digitizing software. Licensing audits in Thailand continue to occur on a regular basis and the program has been expanded to other countries in the region.
